I have 2 computers on a wireless network. They are both running Vista build
5600. On one computer I see all other computers on the network and have full access to the shared files. The second computer sees the other computers on the network but when I try to access them I get a error that the name is spelled incorrectly. I have changed the name of my computer and it updated on the network. I still get the same error message when trying to access my computer from the second computer. I have verified that all of the settings are set the same. I.E. Network discovery and file sharing. Is this just a setting I have missed? I need to get this set up for printer sharing. I am using a Belkin router and both computers are using Belkin wireless cards. There is no outside software running on these machines. I do have Live OneCare on my computer but not on the second one. Please help. |

I've seen this because of file sharing. On the computers that can't be
accessed, are you sharing folders? Also, are you using simple file sharing, or user authenticated? -B "Knnt" wrote in message ... I have 2 computers on a wireless network. I have the entire C: drive shared because I already thought of this. As for
the file sharing I have no idea it is still set at the factory settings. "Brad" wrote: I've seen this because of file sharing. On the computers that can't be accessed, are you sharing folders?
