Is anyone else having problems with the Vista RTM x86 version not
automatically reconnecting to wireless networks until reboot? When my computer goes to sleep and wakes up again, I can see wireless networks (even the one I want to connect to again), but I either have to re-add it, specifically attempt to connect to it, or reboot my computer. And yes, the checkbox is checked. IBM Thinkpad T60p Intel 3945ABG Wireless (Microsoft Driver 10.6.0.15) Vista RTM x86 Ultimate Version |

Your not the only one that has this problem. I do two. Myns worse too, when I
switch networks it wont connect to the new one and it wont connect til i restart, NO Network options will work. Also somtimes on the network I have for internet it wont find the internet, it will always say (Unidentified network) the only way to fix that is by diagnose and repair, then choose "Get new IP settings", ittl work then. But yeah im running x64 and have that prob, ive learned it. -- Im pretty Smart with computers but I even need help sometimes. Thats why im here. Experiencing the same issues here. Have a Dell D810, Intel ABG, when changing
from work wireless to home, sometime have to disable and enable card to get an ip. Overall wireless seems a bit flaky, sometime will show my domain name under network and sharing center, sometimes shows unidentified. "Altimax98" wrote: Your not the only one that has this problem. So sometimes it appears to finally pick up if I give it enough time. That
"enough time" generally falls between two and four minutes. After about five, I get sick of waiting for it and reboot the computer. Regardless, maybe because of the other people who are having these issues, Microsoft will pick up on this thread and make this one of the many areas that they are working on. Thanks, Mark "Speedye1" wrote Experiencing the same issues here. Have a Dell D810, Intel ABG, when changing from work wireless to home, sometime have to disable and enable card to get an ip. Mark: driver v. 10.6.0.15 is quite old, you definitely would like to update it.
Are you connecting to AP or ad-hoc? Which model, radio band (A/G?) and security settings (WPA2, WEP?) --PA "Sloan" wrote in message ... Same problem here. Every time my system goes to sleep I have to reboot in
order to connect to my home network and internet. Get the message that no network found or limited access. In other words useless. Brand new gateway notebook w/ windows vista home premium. Tried updating driver for wireless from the Realtek site (model 8185). Instead of rebooting, right click on network icon and choose Diagnose &
repair. That should give you the option to Reset the adapter. That should fix it. I agree this is a pain and I think MS should be working on this. Sleep/hibernate still needs lots of work. If you don't have an icon, use the Network link on the Start Menu, second column. Then go to Network & Sharing Center to select diagnose. "MikeL" wrote: Same problem here.
