Hi -
In my Vista machine, when I try to add a static ARP entry, it fails with "The ARP entry addition failed: 5". I did use the arp command in a "Run as Administrator" command prompt. I have two interfaces on my machine: Ethernet and Wireless. Both are connected to the same subnet. I have assigned non-conflicting IP addresses to the interfaces manually (192.168.20.14/24 and 192.168.20.4/24 respectively). I use the following commands: arp -s 192.168.20.12 00-09-xx-xx-xx-xx 192.168.20.14 Fails with "The ARP entry addition failed: 5". arp -s 192.168.20.12 00-09-xx-xx-xx-xx 192.168.20.4 Successful. BTW, Dynamic addition of the ARP entry in 192.168.20.14 interface is no problem. Appreciate any help. Thanks, Anand |
