I'm forwarding this thread to the correct newgroup
(microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan) via crosspost. The clunky web interface you're using to access the Vista newsgroups STILL misdirects posts made to Vista.print_fax_scan to Internet Explorer General instead. They'll fix it someday, we hope. Try accessing the newsgroup in your default newsreader (e.g., Windows Mail), where (I believe) this doesn't happen, by clicking on the following link: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...print_fax_scan -- ~PA Bear dewittehd wrote: sorry, Vista RC1 build 5728 "PA Bear" wrote: IE7 RC1 or Vista RC1? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Security, Shell/User) dewittehd wrote: I am trying to get my Epson GT-700 and my Nikon LS-5000 Ed to work under RC1. Altough I managed to get the relevant software installed (SCSI-interface for the Epson and Nikon Scan for the LD-5000) RC1 flatly refuses to fire up the devices due to missing drivers. In both cases manufacters cannot help. Any suggestions? Thanks & regards, John |

The manufacturers of the devices are responsible for writing the drivers.
If they 'cannot help' then there is not a lot one can do. It may be the case that they are unwilling to provide Vista-compatible drivers until after Vista ships retail. -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled ![]() Batteries not included.
