I have 4 printer drivers installed. Two are network printers (HP5N and
HP4000), and two are Microsoft Document Writers. I keep setting my default printer to the network printer HP5N, but after rebooting my machine I notice the default printer keeps resetting back to Microsoft XPS Doument Writer. Has anyone else encountered this? |

I have tackled this by simply removing the XPS printer, now my own printer
stays default. "JHoerig" wrote in message ... I have 4 printer drivers installed. Two are network printers (HP5N and HP4000), and two are Microsoft Document Writers. Basically what Vista was doing was defaulting to the last printer on the
list. One of the posted work arounds was to rename your print driver to something that begins with a Z. That worked fine for me. I haven't checked to see if it has been fixed on the RC2 release yet. Running RC 2 (5744) and so far Vista is not changing my default printer back
to XPS Writer.
