I'm trying to share my HP5610 from a machine with Vista RC2 installed. The
printers works well with Vista -- no local machine printing problems -- and it shows to be shared. I'm trying to share it with my laptop which runs XP Home SP2. Both machines are in the same Workgroup. My problem is that the XP machine does not see any shared printers on the network. I'm sharing over a wireless network courtesy of an old Netgear wireless router (forget the model number). When I boot this [Vista] machine into it's copy of XP Home, there are no network/printer share problems and all is Zen. Does anyone have a fix or suggestion to rectify this problem? As a side note, getting my Samba shares up from my Linux server was non-trivial. The fix required some changes to some group policies, but the printer sharing was borked before that... -- jeff -- "Some men live lives of quiet desperation.
