I'm getting a BSOD right when Vista gets to the login screen on startup. The system will boot to safe mode, but I have no idea how to fix it from there. This happened suddenly on a system that has been running stable for 6+ months. At first I thought that perhaps some of my RAM was bad, so I tried booting with just one stick in (I have 4x1gb), but it wouldn't boot on any of them. My other suspicion was that I had installed drivers for a new keyboard that night before (as that was the only recent change to my system configuration), so I deleted those, but that didn't help either. I'm thinking my next move is to flash my BIOS, but I'm running out of ideas. My system is: Gigabyte GA965P-DS3 motherboard Core 2 Duo E4400 @ 1.8ghz 4gb (4x1gb) DDR2 6400 @ 800mhz 8800 GTS w/640mb Vista Home Premium X64 (OEM) Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do? -- mnikkel55 |

Try using system restore from safe mode to roll back to a date before the
problem began. Alos, post what the error is in the BSOD. -- "mnikkel55" wrote in message ... I'm getting a BSOD right when Vista gets to the login screen on startup. Before doing anything else, you should reset your motherboard that mean
clear your RTC Ram on your board you can do that by removing your battery or by a jumper near the battery look in your user guide book to see the procedure and after adjust your setting in the bios.I think by doing this it will help your system to adjust his memory and all the hardware you got on your computer. If you can boot in Safe mode but not "normally" - a device driver is at
fault - follow first reply System Restore. "mnikkel55" wrote in message ... I'm getting a BSOD right when Vista gets to the login screen on startup.
