Default Problem with 2007 Microsoft Office Service Pack (SP1)?

Hi,

I have a Gateway quad processor PC, purchased in late 2007. It has Windows
Vista Home Premium. Shortly after purchase, the PC began rebooting without
warning and withing giving me time to save any work. After calling Gateway
and resetting my BIOS settings, the problem continuied. I then used Windows
restore point and restored my PC to a point two or three weeks earlier. I
believe the only software I had installed in that period was Microsoft Office
2007 Service Pack (SP1). The problem disappeared until this weekend. I
immediately checked to see if any Windows Updates had occurred and discovered
that Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack (SP1) indeed has installed a day or
two earlier. It appears my suspicions were confirmed.

I have since restore my PC to a point two weeks ago and so far the rebooting
problem has again stopped. Does anyone know if there is a Microsoft or
Gateway patch to permanently fix this problem so I may get the latest
Microsoft and Microsoft Office updates?

I have gone to Gateway's site and downloaded the latest drivers for my PC,
including a BIOS update. I have no idea, at least right now, if this will
solve my problem.

Please advise. Thanks.
