figured it had to do more with Vista than anything else. Still haven't found a solution, although I have found lots of people posting messages about programs not working. For some unknown reason you refuse to try the suggested solution.
Neither have you answered these questions: What do you learn when viewing "Problem Reports and Solutions"? What programs are you having a problem with? One begins to wonder if you are actually seeking a solution or merely engaging in a bit of mental masturbation. ------- *Report back, please* [When responding to posts, please include the post(s) you are replying to so that others may learn and benefit from the issue] [How to ask a question] http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 "Ed" wrote in message ... I tried the suggested solution. Your solution was to uninstall Nortom. As I
said in a reply to you, I did just that and as I said in my reply to you, it did not work. As for Problems and solutions, I got zero help. windows reports that there are no solutions for the problems As for the programs they are AOL Software; CLCapSvc; CoPilot Routing Software; Download Accelerator; Internet Explorer; Logitec Desktop messenger;microsoft office; microsift office outlook; pando; SPCSCM MFC Application; The weather Channel Interactive Consumer Application Software; Windows; Windows Defender Command; Windows Explorer; Yahoo Messenger. Some have only 1 or 2 occurrances while othere will not even load and everything in between. Between all of them there were 271 problems reported to microsoft, and including thier own software seems to have no solution. As for the "mental masturbation", you jumped on the norton bandwagon as the root cause of all evil. When I said that it did not appear that norton was the problem, your response was to get rid of it any way, because sooner or later ir will be a problem. That may or may not be the case, but it is not the cause of the problem that I am currently experienceing. That comment was also completely unwarranted. but thanks anyway Ed "Bob" wrote: For some unknown reason you refuse to try the suggested solution.
