ACER scan 620ST scanner driver install problem with Vista RC2 5744
I have an Acer SCSI scanner 620ST which works fine with XP but Vista RC2
reports that it finds the driver but cannot install it. Has anyone found a workaround for this problem yet? If I upgraded to Vista in its current state I'd lose use of both my scanner and printer Samsung CLP-500) which is too much to consider.

I just tried to see if
Benq would be doing an upgrade driver for my Acer ST620 SCSI scanner and the reply was "There is no driver for vista for this product and at this point there would be no support or drivers released that will work under vista." Looks like Vista will be good for hardware companies hoping for sales of their newest models! However,maybe Vista will be penalised by fewer people wanting to upgrade if there are a lot of hardware replacements to look forward to if they do! "James Lynch" wrote in message ...
