print spooler service not running
I've got the same spooler/no add printer problem and I'm following all the tips to solve it, without success so far. I've also run the Microsoft Mr Fix It FixPrintSpooler thing, no luck. I've found some printer drivers that I want to delete under /windows/system32/... but when I try to delete the files I'm told that I don't have authorization to do that, despite being Admin. How do I give myself authorization? thanks Phil -- aussiephilip |

Quote:
1. press windows key + R 2. under "run" window, type "services.msc" press "Enter" key. Services window will show up. 3. under "Name" column, scroll down & looks for "Print Spooler" 4. Click on "Print Spooler", A "start" on your top left corner will show up. 5. Click on "start", you print spooler will restart. All your installed driver will be show up in your DEVICE & Printer windows. within 2 minutes will resolve your problem. 99.9% works. |
