Default SP1 search bug?

You are asking a different question which requires a new thread.

Most so called "Bugs" can be attributed to user error or lack of knowledge.
I don't have the problem you describe.

Another bug that I just found, is that the search is looking only into
drive C:, I have 5 HDD internal + 1 extrenal, and the SP1 search does
not look into the other drives anymore

Do you have a way to restore the Search Option in the Start Menu, it
was very usefull and the easiest way to search the whole system

Installed SP1, now when I right click on any folder in windows
explorer, the search option

is missing from the context menu? Tried all my drives and a bunch of
different folders,

still no search. I enabled Windows Search service again, had it
disabled since it eats

to many resources, still no search. Pre-SP1 of course did not do
this. Anyone else see this?

If not what should I look for?

Comfortable.

Default SP1 search bug?

SP1 made two changes regarding search: context menu and start menu. It
doesn't seem so bad to discuss them both in this thread. We sometimes
notice an unwanted change caused by Microsoft which may very well be
unintended and therefore a bug, in this case it may not be, but once a
thread is started the title usually stays unchanged. Personally, I'd like
to see more technical responses and fewer thread-policing responses.
