I've turned off the Windows Search service, since I rarely do big
searches and don't need to index file content. But when it's turned off, every time I do a search a message appears telling me that "Your searches might be slow because the index is not running". After seeing it a few dozen times, I get the message! Is there any way to disable this annoying feature, short of making it happy by turning on the indexer? -- Ray (remove the Xs to reply) |
