I have been using offline files for a while, but I have noticed that over the
past few months when I get back on the network Windows doesn't recognize the server as online. I can ping the server and get replies, and I can get to it through the IP address, but the NetBIOS name takes me to the offline version. Any ideas why this might be and how can I get Windows to recognize the server? I have tried flushing dns cache (ipconfig /flushdns) and clearing & reloading the NetBIOS cache (nbtstat -RR), but that didn't resolve the issue. I have also searched through the internet without any luck. This is annoying because I can't access the folders that I haven't marked for offline availability on the same server. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! |
