USB storage
I'm trying to use a 4G USB storage for transferring files from an XP platform
to a Vista platform. I'm finding something very funny. I copy the files to the storage (and I can see and open them on the XP machine). Than I put the USB storage on the Vista machine. I can see again the files but I cannot open them (the files seem to be corrupted). Finally I put the USB storage on the XP and I see that the files are corrupted. It looks like Vista has corrupted my files. I'm using the same USB storage for transferring files between XP machines without any problem. Any suggestion? Thanks Best Regards Giorgio Torassa |

My first suggestion would be to provide more info, what types of files are
these? Are they being opened with the same version of the same software on both computers? -- ---- Crosspost, do not multipost http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 __________________________________________________ _______________________________ "Giorgio" wrote in message ... Try taking ownership of the files in Vista.

USB storage
Does it give an error once you start copying them, saying Access Denied? If thats the problem you need to take ownership.
