PLEASE HELP, URGENT! my computer freezes, then goes white w/ small
At random times while I am on my computer, (usually when i am on the internet
or installing or running programs) my computer will freeze for about 10 seconds, then the screen goes white or black with a small colorful box (looks like a colored bar code) on the screen and it won't let me do anything, no control of mouse or keys. I then shut down using the power button and when i press it again to start up the computer asks me in what mode to restart (safe mode, regular...etc.) It happens frequently enough to interfere with my computer time, and is extremely frustrating! Please help, any suggestions would be great. Thank you so much.

You never mention it, have you tried System Restore, backdating it as far back as the list allows you ? The list backdates no more than 10 days, hope it's not too late. If your problem began long before that, you will want to try system restore in Safe Mode. Good luck. -- davidjchuang
