FYI... I just upgraded to pre-RC1 build: 5536 and now backup is working fine.
"CopperCan" wrote: I have this same problem and am at a loss on what else to try that I haven't already. I backup multiple machines to a network drive daily without problems except with the test Vista machine (Beta 2 - 5384). Only information I have found on the net is that this is a authorization problem with the user name being used for the backup routine. I have the destination drive set so that "domain admins" have full rights to the folder both in security and sharing. (one of the things I read that it said needed to be done) This folder also has share and security rights set to full for a local user name on that computer... the one being backuped to. (One other place I read that a user local to the machine being backuped to has to be used) I have tried both network and local users in the backup config (all of them with full access to the destination folder to no avail. Always get that same "General access denied error (0x80070005)" error. All other networking seems to be working fine. The Vista machine is joined to my SBS Server 2003 network. I run WSUS and that works fine with the toggle to the Beta URL. No problems with shares back and forth. But still, no luck on doing backups. Any info on a possible solution to this problem would be appreaciated.
