Default Network Sharing Error

I am having a problem with trying to connect to a shared printer. I just got
a laptop with Vista and am trying to connect to a shared printer on my other
computer running Windows XP (over a wireless network). I am able to see all
the computers that are connected to my network but not my printer. When I try
and connect to any shared folders on my other 2 computers on my network I get
a pop up that says
"Windows cannot access \\family (my other computer name on the network) the
error also says "Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a
proble with your network. To try to idenfify and resolve network problem,
click Diagnose"

The thing is I can see the other computers - but can't access them.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks ahead of time

Default Network Sharing Error

Hi
In general.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
Vista File and Printer Sharing-
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/net.../vista_fp.mspx
Windows XP File Sharing -
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;304040
Printer Sharing XP -
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...utt_july2.mspx
Windows Native Firewall setting for Sharing XP -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875357
Windows XP patch for Sharing with Vista -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922120
The drivers of the printer has to be installed on any computer that will use
he printer.
