THERE WAS AN ERROR INITIALIZING INKING COMPONENTS. The ONLY function in the Tablet PC that works is Tablet PC Input Panel. Well it runs, but neither of the TOOLS or HELP pull down menus work. I never used journal and to see if i had the same problem i opened the program at which time it notified me that i had to install the "Journal Note Writer Print Driver." Once this was automatically done, i could ink in journal. Now i can ink in all the other programs, i.e outlook, word and stickey notes opens and works. Hope this solves the problem for others -- jlm1968 Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com The tablet PC functions were never disabled, they simply stopped working. Once "Journal" was opened the program installed the "journal note writer print driver" which soleved the problem. On other threads i have seen comments suggesting the impetus of the problem is related to a Microsoft update down loaded when updating the computer. While i don't know the cause, i was able to resolve my problem simply by opening Journal for the first time. -- jlm1968 Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
