Has anyone had a problem with their wifi after logging back in from being
away for a while? It won't connect or even detect any networks. If I
restart the laptop it will connect properly. Is there anyway for it to work
without restarting?

These two KB articles will probably help:
http://support.microsoft.com/KB/928152
http://support.microsoft.com/KB/943899

I think this is addressed with SP1.

Hi Michael,

In addition to the articles given you by Mark, you may also check with the
system manufacturer for an updated wireless driver.

Also, some include their own wireless connection management software, while
others rely on Windows' own. I generally have found the latter to be better,
but it can't hurt to try both to see which works for you.

Yep I have had that but all I had to do was to right click on the wireless
icon and click on "Connect to network" which brings up a report saying there
are no networks. I click on the refresh icon and it finds it and auto
connects straight away.
