We just rolled out about 100 new Windows Vista computers to some of our
employees. We are having a major issue with printing. At random, printing stops working on these machines. Through some research on these forums and other websites we found that restarting the "Software Licensing" service will temporarily fix the issue. At any time, the issue will pop up again and we will have to go through the excercise again. I would say this is happening on more computers than not. It's a real pain when we have computers that are running a printer emulation session from our iSeries box to print receipts for our customers and the printer freezes. The help desk has to walk the end user through (or use remote Computer Management) restarting the Software Licensing service. It's causing a huge issue for us. I have read where this is an issue for others as well. Has there been any progress on figuring out what the root cause of this issue is or possibly what the solution is to fixing this issue? - DZ |
