While requesting a new Freemail (personal e-mail) certificate from Thawte,
the cerificate request procedure does not come to completion. It stalls on step "[ generate certificate public key ]".There is an empty dropdown list under the message "Please choose the CSP you wish to use from the list below:" and the cerificate enrollment process cannot be continued. Do I need to install a CSP, or enable a service? Regards, Benoīt Segond von Banchet |

arty:I found if you use a Windows XP/2000 machine or a Mac with Firefox, you can request a cert, fetch it and import it into that machine, then export/backup and copy to Vista. I was able to successfully import it into Internet Explorer and Firefox and Outlook 2007 to sign emails this way. It is a pain until they upgrade to CertEnroll but works as a temporary solution! On another note, CAcert.org support Vista but you have to import their root certs so not as nice as Thawte is. ~Marcos -- ogdenous |
