Default On Access Virus Scanner for Vista RC1 you say?

It's a beta, but then if you're running Vista then you're a little late to
be worried about that:

after you installed the 4.7.881 build, check for Program Update manually and
you'll get the new build 4.7.887

Default On Access Virus Scanner for Vista RC1 you say?

I had installed the PC-Cillin first on RC1, since it was running good on
older builds. But it used to crash Windows like 2-3 times during the day.
Debugging showed some of its files causing the prob.

After is installed, Avast so far there is no such problem and its a good
software too, i guess.
