PCcillin vs Avast
Now that the compatability issues have been resolved, Avast is my choice of
AV software. Trend was really affecting my IE performance, let alone the overall performance of my build 5728. even if I never have liked the avast "VCR" skin, I've been using it for a long time. I've tested most of the AV software out there for xp, and they all suck in some way or another. The best protection I've seen so far is the UAC. Alot of people have complained about the inconvenience, but I'vr blocked a few unwanted controls from loading from a web page that otherwise would have installed silently. the recent pdf backdoors, activeX and vml vulnerabilities demonstrate how this is done. So, show me a suite that's been infallable, and I'll kiss your shiny metal computer case. |
