I have windows vista.
i have a microtek scanmaker x6 scanner & can't save scanned copies to my hard drive. i don't have the scanner software but downloaded it online. The scanner is connected through a USB port. When I do a scanner test, the scanner works fine & a picture of my scanned copy shows up on the test screen, but it won't save to my hard drive anywhere. When I go into my scanner & cameras folder in the control panel, scanmaker is there but when I check in properties it says its unavailable. I downloaded Vuescan & it works now, but the trial version puts $dollar signs all over your copies & I'd rather not pay $40 for the software. Is there a free solution to my problem? Thanks! - John |
