Default Vista Cant Connect to Windows 2000 Server

Everytime I enter the user name and password to connect to my Dell Powervault
server, vista automatically changes the username to the Vista computer name.
I cant seem to get around it. Any ideas?

If you type domainname/username, does that work?

Dear Filz ,
if you want to connect to your windows 2000 from vista,
go to control Panel, switch to clasic view, then click user accounts
on the left side of your screen the should be something called manage
network passwords, click that then select add, over there add your
windows Server 2000 username and password that you want to connect. this
should get you connected for sure.

Also you need to make sure that your current Authentication method
allows NTLM v2 as well. Check your local computers securiy policy

Reply back with ur feedback

Hope this helps

Cheers !!!
