I am trying to get Windows Media Encoder 9 (WME9) to encode video from
ATI 650 TV tuner card. I am running Windows VISTA Ultimate operating system. I can successfully encode input from ATI 650 for 20-30 minutes then both the input and output display on WME9 simply "freeze" with no warning or error message. I do not have any restrictions on CPU or hard-drive space and tons of extra computing capacity. I have tried every firmware update/ hotfix and WME9 setting I can think with the same response. I checked the event logs in Windows , screensaver, and I can not correlate any event to the 20-30 minutes failure time. Again I have 1000 GB hard drive with 90% available and no restictions in WME9. I "Googled" this problem and came up empty. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. (I have been at this over 40 hours!!!) Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

Is the whole system frozen or just WME9?
