RC2 and eTrust av
I have installed RC2 and want to use a supported AV program, so I downloaded
and signup for eTrusts' CA AV. when I attempt to install it , it fails with an error E9009 - saying that the OS version is not supported. I opened a support case at eTrust. anyone having the same problem? |
RC2 and eTrust av
I have just come to the forum to see if anyone was using CA Trust AV as I
can't get AVG to work with my install. I know CA had issues with Beta2 - Avast was slow for booting - I was going to try CA trust now otherwise I will be back to installing Trend. I would like to know if it works with RC1 - I wonder if you are seeing the error as before about having to gain permission to do anything with it. Have you ran the install as Admin? It seems it worked with RC1 so why not with RC2.
Yes the install was run with an admin. "pippin" wrote: I have just come to the forum to see if anyone was using CA Trust AV as I can't get AVG to work with my install. You can try with Avast ver 4.7.892 - you can take it from
http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe - it's free for home use. Siggy написа: It seems it worked with RC1 so why not with RC2. Yes the install was run with an admin. I got the same prob. AV72_EN works fine with RC1 5600, but will not allow
Realtime protection or tray app to run under RC2 5744, no matter how much you fiddle with permissions, running as administrator etc. My Advice would be "Get Avast" "aknockknock" wrote: I had this issue and raise the matter with CA...the file you are directed to in the free Vista RC1 users offer is incorect version...the correct version av72v_en that is compatible with vista the help person at CA issued me a new key and emailed the correct link is: http://consumerdownloads.ca.com/myeT...s/av72v_en.exe hope this helps cheers "Nelemans" wrote: On Mon, 9 Oct 2006 02:42:01 -0700, Siggy wrote: I have installed RC2 and want to use a supported AV program, so I downloaded and signup for eTrusts' CA AV. when I attempt to install it , it fails with an error E9009 - saying that the OS version is not supported. I upgraded a WinXP workstation running eTrust Antivirus 8 to RC2 Vista and
eTrust continues to run fine under Vista. But I haven't tried installing eTrust on a fresh Vista installation. Nick "Siggy" wrote in message ...
