Successful with SP1; Finally!!!
I stood on my head but could not get SP1 to successfully load on my Ultimate
version of Vista. Used msconfig to shut down almost everything and still no luck. The error code did not give me much of a clue, except that SP1 did not like a driver. So I updated Creative's audio driver and AMD's video driver to the latest and low and behold, the upgrade worked.
