Nice error message

"Due to an unidentified problem, windows cannot display Windows Firewall
Settings."

Anyone know why?

Do you have installed Vista as a fresh installation? If not, try with a

No I havn't tried with a fresh install, but what you are saying is that if
you upgrade from XP, there is potential for an actual windows form (the
firewall) not to display, with an unrecognised error.
