Hi,
I've recently run into the problem of not being able to connect to computers on the local network by their names, or by the listings in the network browser. I've recently patched up to SP1, but could still access the network as per usual, up until a couple days ago. I have not installed any other software or changed any settings. It just woudn't map drives, or allow me to browse/connect by name. Furthermore, other computers cannot access my shares either by name (which errors out with system error 123) or IP (which errors out with system error 5). I have netbios over TCP/IP enabled, and have my local shares shared with "Everyone", have accounts with matching passwords for each machine on the network, etc. Like I said, the vista machine was fine and working flawlessly with the network until recently.
