Has anyone had any further direction with this? I am experiencing similar
symtoms running a similar setup. Vista x64 Ultimate, Syncing abou 1GB of
files to a Windows 2K3 Server and Symantec. My startup wait is about 2
minutes after login with very significant hard drive activity.

I am running XP SP3 and have resolved this issue by removing the
"Status" column in Windows Explorer. If the folder shows online Status
and the offline folders are ONLINE Windows Explorer grinds to a halt. By
removing this column all goes back to normal whether on or off line.
Hope that helps. I'd like to know if anyone know about an MS pathc for
this?
