Default Sent emails change into Chinese characters

Several people have contacted me to say an email I sent them was in
Chinese. The emails are in English when I send them and show up as
English in my sent folder. I checked my unicode setting, etc. Now when I
send test emails to myself at yahoo they come up with one Chinese
character (I think---it looks like a y with 2 dots above it and a b and
p together...) When I use webmail the messages send okay but when I use
windows mail they don't. PLEASE HELP!

You are only the 7th person over the past 12 months to report this
problem, and our success rate for this has not been good.
One person stated he was able to fix it by using CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com .
Frankly, I am skeptical of this claim. You can try switching to the
WLM email client: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
and if that doesn't fix it, switch to Thunderbird:
