Default Uninstalling Optional Updates

That was actually the first thing that I tried. Unfortunately, the date
the
Optional Updates got installed was a little further back than the Restore
Point available.

I can think of two things left to try. Boot into Safe Mode, and try to roll
back the driver there. If that fails, you should concider performing a
repair install (not a reinstall).

I apologized for making my question confusing to all of you. I wasn't
looking
to uninstall Silverlight Optional Updates rather some other updates.

I inadvertently installed Optional Updates of NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX from
Windows Updates and I need to remove it completely. My Vista 64 system is
now
BSOD every time waking up from Sleep Mode. I did download the latest
driver
from EVGA site to override and it still BSOD with the same symptoms. I
also
tried to Roll Back the driver from Device Manager and it still BSOD after
waking up from Sleep Mode.

I also confirmed that No Driver Optional Updates are listed on the Control
PanelPrograms Programs and Features Installed Updates. However, it's
listed on Control Panel System and MaintenanceWindows Update View
update
History.

So I was wandering if there is a way to Uninstall it without having to
completely re-install my system.

I thank you guys in advance for any advices.

Default how to uninstall optional updates?

I was having this problem in Windows 7 with my ideazon keyboard. The
optional update that I installed made it so the multimedia keyboards no
longer worked. The optional updates that are drivers would need to be
removed through Device Manager by right clicking on the device and
clicking Uninstall Drive. You of course have to be very careful about
this as the device will likely stop functioning, but I was able to just
un-plug my keyboard and plug it back in. Careful though, as your mileage
may vary.

To whom are you replying ?
If you meant to inject a helpful tip, you failed miserably. Which optional
update ?
Without that info, who knows what you were talking about ?
That link contain messages more than 18 months old mostly about Silverlight.
What has it got to do with drivers ??
