on start up mouse's pointer appears but does not move on clicking
I am using vista home premium on intel E 4500 2.2 ghz core 2 duo . sometimes
on start- up my mouse(PS/2) does not work though mouse 's pointer appears on the screen . However , on shutting down with the help of keyboard and after reloading ,mouse starts working normally . |

Plug your mouse to a different USB port. If no more problem, you have a deffective USB port. ( Try all USB ports you have). If problem persists, check your mouse by using another mouse. If no more problem, you have a "bad" mouse. Sounds like a joke, but many times we forgot the basics. Let's hear some good news from you. -- davidjchuang |

I have changed my mouse to microsoft's vista compatible mouse (USB ) and is
working perfectly . most probably my earlier mouse (PS/2) was not vista compatible .
