Hi All,
I'm trying to get the power management on my computer to work. I set it as a power user with the monitors powering down in 20 minutes. The monitors never power down. Is there some kind of diagnostic tool or FAQ that I can check on this issue? Thank in advance, John. |

Whenever you have problem(s), make a round to Vista Tutorials which is located at the top of the window. Brink, aka Shawn, has a lot of tutorials for all kinds of situations. As to this power settings issue, click Vista Tutorials, choose Option, choose Shut Down Options. You'll get what you need. Good luck. -- davidjchuang |

John, 2 -part question :- part 1) are you using wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, or both ? If answer is Yes to either one of the above, then part 2) have ypu downloaded the optional update called " Other hardware HID Non-User Input Data Filter " ? If answer is NO, you might want to go to Windows Updates and download that optional, and see if your problem is solved. If problem solved, tell me and I'll explain why I made that suggestion. Good luck. -- davidjchuang |
