Default vista ultimate network issues

i have a dell precision running ultimate on several different sites the issue
i have experienced is going between networks typically wired is it allows me
to connect locally but not to the internet diagnose does not seem to resolve
the issue when i do a route print there is an entry for a route 0.0.0.0 for
the gateway the only way i can get connection to the internet is if i delete
that route and reapply ip address this is using ip v 4 once i am on
everything works fine but as soon as i try to get on another networks i have
to follow the same steps

Regards
Steve
