Default connecting to websites...

Hi,

When I try to connect to certain web sites and run IE diagnostic, I get the
following error:

The following policy might need to be adjusted to allow windows to connect:
Policy provider:-
Filter name: SymNetDrv Firewall Filter INBOUND_TRANSPORT_V4

The connection problems appear randomly. i.e., I have been able to connect
to those websites previously without trouble.

I did shut down Norton Security to no avail.

Can anybody help me?

Obviously you've got something set incorrectly in your Norton Security
program. Either configure it correctly or uninstall it and install a better
antivirus instead. Recommended programs are NOD32, Kaspersky, or even Avast
if you want a free one. The built-in Windows Firewall is adequate for most
people.

Hi
Shutting down Norton is Not Good enough, related service and parts that load
at startup keep running.
You have to Uninstall, and clean the registry.
