Hi,
When I try to connect to certain web sites and run IE diagnostic, I get the following error: The following policy might need to be adjusted to allow windows to connect: Policy provider:- Filter name: SymNetDrv Firewall Filter INBOUND_TRANSPORT_V4 The connection problems appear randomly. i.e., I have been able to connect to those websites previously without trouble. I did shut down Norton Security to no avail. Can anybody help me? Ku |

Either configure it correctly or uninstall it and install a better antivirus instead. Recommended programs are NOD32, Kaspersky, or even Avast if you want a free one. The built-in Windows Firewall is adequate for most people. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com Don't Panic! |

Hi
Shutting down Norton is Not Good enough, related service and parts that load at startup keep running. You have to Uninstall, and clean the registry. Jack (MVP-Networking). "Ku" wrote in message ...
