Forwarded to Vista General via crosspost for more appropriate assistance.

But IE won't display any pages - comes back with connection errors to any site. But, I can ping the same sites without a problem, Windows Update checks correctly for updates, etc. Just IE seems to have the problem. Any guesses? Thanks. |

It's no consolation for your problem in particular, but IE7 has NEVER worked
for me. Not once. At least, not in Vista. -- In the event of an emergency, walk, do NOT run, to the nearest System Restore point. "PA Bear" wrote in message ... It gets stranger and stranger.
I can use IE to see our web server by its local name on the local network. I can use the internet domain name of that server and see it, presumably going out to the router and back in. But all other web sites hang for awhile, then come back with no connection. I've been all over the firewall and network connections and can't find anything. All other network enable programs appear to work fine connecting out to sites on the internet, just IE is having the problem.
