I have a Gateway laptop running Vista Home Premium. I also have a Dell 4600
on which I have a Epson Stylus Color 600 installed. I can share this printer with another computer running Windows 98SE with no problem. When I try to add this printer and share it with laptop on my network I get the message telling me that the spooler subsystem has stopped running. When I restart it and reboot I get the message again that it has stopped. The only way I can clear this problem is to do a restore system to a good working date. This has been happening since the day I first put my laptop in service. I am able to print to PrimoPDF which I resorted to after being unable to install my printer. It looks like a lot of others running Vista are experiencing the same problem I have. Do you think SP1 will address this problem? |

Remove printer from registry than update vista, printer driver and adobe
reader. If you print from adobe, print as an image. good lack Boba Vankufer "Kenny" wrote in message ... I have a Gateway laptop running Vista Home Premium. I am sure this is a dumb question - but how do I remove a printer from the
registry. "Boba & Ilinka" wrote: Remove printer from registry than update vista, printer driver and adobe reader. not dumb, it's the last step when all others fail.

I am currently using an IBM Lenovo T61 Thinkpad notebook running Windows Vista 32-bit Edition. I am experiencing problems with my EPSON CX3810 printer. The scanner part of the printer is working fine, but when I go to print, I get an error message that says "Spooler SubSystem App has stopped working". I've tried everything to fix this from reinstalling the driver, deleting it out of the registry, and manually trying to install the printer, but none of it has worked. I know I have downloaded the right driver from EPSON and that it has worked in the past. (I recently had my hard drive reimaged, and prior to the reimaging the printer had worked fine). I have an EPSON Stylus 600 at home and that works without a problem. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. -- pescatch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pescatch's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/pescatch.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-print-fax/947116.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

The most common cause of a spooler sub-system failure is indeed problems
with the printer driver(s). I suggest you try deleting the driver (again), cleaning up, and re-installing the drivers. http://www.epson.ca/cgi-bin/ceStore/...atform=Windows This site might help with the driver clean-up. http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm -- Tom MSMVP 1998-2007 "pescatch" wrote in message news ![]() I am currently using an IBM Lenovo T61 Thinkpad notebook running Windows Vista 32-bit Edition.
