Default Performance rating says I have 64 bit compatible but I'm 32 bit?

What does Microsoft define as 64 bit compatible? I can install 64bit Vista?
My cpu is 64 bit (which to the best of my knowledge is not)? I can replace
cpu with 64bit cpu?

Microsoft tells me this in the "details" section of the performance rating
thing. Why is it telling me this?

If Windows Says you have a x64 CPU then by God you must have one.

x64 CPUs can handle x64 Operating Systems as Well the x86 OS like
NT,2000,XP,Linux etc..

But only x64 Software on an x64 CPU gets the most of performance out of it.

Problem is : we have special Operating Systems now for x64 CPUs, but it
lacks of driver-support and most software is only available as standard-
x86, so it will always run only in compatibility modes within the CPU.

This will take years to be really supported the way it could be.

Just let things as they are if everything is working.
