Hi Marc--I'd say compared to Vista RC1's defragger ANYTHING'S better.
PerfectDisk has many many options and gives visual cues as to the condition/progtress of of the defrag. It's superior to Vista's defrag. "Marc Nutty" wrote: Hi, Is this good? I mean my system is doing fine but I would like a better defragger than Windows' so any ideas? |

Perfect Disk found literally 1000's of fragmented files that Vista "fixed" earlier that morning. With no visual cues there is no way to tell with the built in program... |

Just downloaded PD now as I missed Disk Keeper when RC1 was released.
Do not like the lack of GUI with Vista's defrag. and know I will find the same amount of files which were supposed to be scheduled to drefrag. I have never used Perfect disc but hope the install will be fine with RC1 "Dave Balcom" wrote: On Thu, 14 Sep 2006 12:45:02 -0700, k_fonda wrote: }Hi Marc--I'd say compared to Vista RC1's defragger ANYTHING'S better. }PerfectDisk has many many options and gives visual cues as to the }condition/progtress of of the defrag. It's a pity RAXCO doesn't tell you that this release for Vista is only for
Intel and does not include 64bit processors. KeithB "k_fonda" wrote: Hi everyone--I just received an email today and downloaded the new PerfectDisk 8 Beta for Vista RC1. I don't know where my post went but I wanted to make sure PD was ok to use as
when it prompts me to defrag on re-boot it seems to work but when booting back inot Vista I have to select boot normally - I have reported this but was unsure if I should use DK which is now ready for RC1 normally I use O&O. PD reports/graphs before and after HD defrag are both the same yet it is moving files - puzzle for me. DK on previous build showed the difference plus O&O on my XP PC shows the difference but PD on Vista both graphs are equal 100% after defrag - even when the difference isn't shown. I was going to uninstall but will hold this until they reply now I see it is working for others with Vista.
