Hi StephDav, I think this problem is because your picture files are corrupt. This may be your SD Card has bad sectors at where the picture files are stored. You may try to check it by using the windows command: *chkdsk /f /r* -yourdriveletter-: -- LengIeng |

When I try to import pictures from my SD card an error message comes up saying "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect". I import pictures all the time and this is the first time this has happened. Please Help! Can you see the photos on your camera? Have you tried connecting your camera with the usb cable and seeing if it will read that way? I have been reading a few instances were SD cards do not want to work with Vista, if this trend ( if it is in deed a trend) continues, I am sure we will be hearing about a fix soon. ( hopefully). Good luck! -- dbknox |
