All of a sudden in the last 48 hours I have a problem with unwanted Windows
desktop search windows repeatedly popping up. Almost anything can trigger them: clicking on a navigation button in Windows Internet Explorer, moving my mouse, clicking on my desktop, hitting the space bar! I probably get 4 or 5 a minute and I can't figure out how to disable them. I haven't added anything new to my PC in the past 2 days so I don't know why I'm suddenly having this problem. I never use Windows desktop search so I would just as soon remove it, but at the very least I must stop these unwanted pop-ups! Help! Gramercy |

For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus, whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you owe it to the author.
