Default Laptop noise

Since I intalled Windows Vista Business 64-Bits in my Acer Aspire 5630-6091 I
can hear a strange noise (I think from processor). The laptop config is an
Intel Core-2-Duo with 1Gb RAM.
With Windows XP I didn't have this problem. This is my second laptop with
this problem and with the same behavior: only in normal use of Windows.
The most stange is when I start Windows Vista in secure mode: the noise stops.
In my point of view, this is a problem with drivers of Windows Vista.

When I'm in a quite place this noise is horrible.
Please, any idea of how can I solve this problem without removing Windows
Vista and changing it to Windows XP????

Hello, Saulo. Just a question out of lack of technical knowledges :
Business 64-bit on a 1GB RAM laptop ? Are you sure the poor laptop can
handle it ?

A processor is an electronic chip. It has no moving parts and can't possibly
make any noise.

There are essentially only two things in a computer than can make noise:
disk drives and fans.

Operating systems or drivers don't make noise either. Almost certainly you
have a hardware problem, and either a drive or a fan is failing.

When I'm in a quite place this noise is horrible.

Vista and changing it to Windows XP????
