Default 2 SATA Drives?????

I'm trying to figure out how to use the second drive for other than just
backing up data... will this work for my second drive and how best do you do
it with Vista:

I don't have a drive for just the pagefile, but I do have a second physical
drive (a RAID 1 array) that's used as a secondary data drive. I don't access
it frequently, so I put the pagefile on that drive. You can specify the drive
on which the pagefile resides by going to Control Panel | System | Advanced
(tab) | Performance settings. Click the Change button in the Virtual Memory
section.

Thanks

If you have 2 drives in a Raid 1 you shouldn't be able to independently
access the second drive, it's there to mirror the first drive.

You said, and I quote "but I do have a second physical drive (a RAID 1

You can't have a RAID 1 and have both drives accessible, you need to clarify
what you have going on there, do you have a mirrored array or not?

I don't have a mirrored array...
I had read that if you have your page file on a second drive it can speed up
your system. That's what I was wondering if I should do.

It probably won't make an improvement you would notice.

Hi, If you dont want to mirror the drives then use 2 arrays.
1 for each drive.
Have fun
