I get a lot these error messages (warnings) in my event log. My printer seems
to work OK. The ID is 4.

They occur even when my printer is off. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Sorry for the double post. Hit the wrong button.

The print spooler failed to reopen an existing printer connection because it
could not read the configuration information from the registry key
S-1-5-18\Printers\Connections.
The print spooler could not open the registry key. This can occur if the
registry key is corrupt or missing, or if the registry recently became
unavailable.

Have you checked the registry to see if this key exists? I've seen this
prolblem solved by simply adding it:

Thanks, I will give that a try. As he gingerly tiptoes into the registry.
