Default Memory Diagnostics Tool(memtest.exe) file missing after Vista SP1

Hello everybody!
I tried to run the Windows Diagnostics Tool after Vista SP1, but when
windows try to restart and run the diagnostics test, they do not start at
alland they are asking me to insert and the boot from the recovery windows
cd, because they cannot find the memtest.exe file(error:00xc0000225).

Is there any way that I can fix this problem, for example recover or find
the memtest.exe file??

I would appreciate anybody's help. Thank you very much!

Hi Trifon,

I attached a ZIP file with the memtest.exe in it for you from my
computer. Extract it to your desktop, then copy it inside it's default
location: "C:\Windows\Boot\PCAT"

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Default Memory Diagnostics Tool(memtest.exe) file missing after Vista

Brinks,
I've managed to download it. When I followed the C\Windows\Boot\PCAT, i
found out that the memetest file is there, but for some reason it does not
run from Win32. That was the message I got whan I tried to run it.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks alot!

Hi Mick,
It was not my intention to waste people's time. I tried to delete the posts
from this forum, but I could not. I thought the GD forum was better. I'm in
need for help, that's all. I'm sorry mate.

Thanks.
