Ok i have been messing around with this for the better part of several months
and I am at my witts end. I can ping both computers fine from the cmd command line. I also have tried to either fix the MS windows firewall to allow for filesharing or disable both of them alltogether. I have downloaded the xp patch for vista to find it. I finally tried to patch the security in the two sections of the filesharing, including adding multiple users to the security tabs. I am so mad that I dont know what else to say. Any suggestions? Obviously Microsoft has a major issue with networking VISTA and XP! Its no wonder that people want to go back to XP! They need to get a patch for this issue fast! |

You have a thread about this already going. I just replied to your post there. Please find it and if you have further questions or need more help, post in your original thread. Making a new post about the same issue just fragments things and makes it harder for people to help you. So go back to your original thread; I won't be monitoring this one.
