I have Fax and Scan ( Vista Ultimate ) working, but I find I have to start
it manually so the fax will monitor for incoming calls. Isn't there a flag setting to allow it to activate on boot up and be in a waiting mode ? |

The FAX ***service*** has to be set to Automatic or Automatic (delayed start) preferred, for the fax to be able to work. If you have set everything up properly in the toolsfax settings general allow the device to receive fax calls, then it should work OK. But the fax service must be running. So open services & see if fax is set to auto or auto(deley start) HTH -- regards CL :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "Tim Stone" wrote: I have Fax and Scan ( Vista Ultimate ) working, but I find I have to start it manually so the fax will monitor for incoming calls. Tim
You're welcome. It's enlightening to know that posters do come back and tell the NG that a suggestion did or did not work. Best or luck. -- regards CL :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "Tim Stone" wrote: Thanks ... the fax service was set to manual. "LoneWolf" wrote in message ...
